At ULI, we encourage international students to engage with the broader community in Richmond and Metro Vancouver. Connecting with local groups and organizations can help you make friends, explore new interests, and feel at home in Canada. Below are some useful resources to help with your integration.

Student Groups and Support Services

Joining student groups is a great way to meet peers and access support:

  • ULI Student Support Services – Provides guidance on academics, housing, and well-being.

  • Richmond Public Library – Offers study spaces, language programs, and events for students.

Volunteering and Networking

Getting involved in volunteer work or networking events can help build your experience and connect with the local community:

  • Richmond Rotaract Club – ULI is one of the sponsors of the Richmond Rotaract Club. Connect with post-secondary students and young professionals through Rotary International.

  • City of Richmond Volunteers – Volunteer for the City of Richmond to utilize special skills, explore career choices, meet new people or become a valuable member of a team, the City of Richmond and a wide range of community partners offer short and long-term volunteer opportunities in a variety of areas.
