​​Ken worked part-time 20 hours per week at T&T Supermarket starting from 2 January 2018. His starting hourly salary was $13.15 and earned more than $13600 during 2018. Starting from December 2024, international student are allowed to work off-campus up to 24 hours per week during their academic study. The minimum wage in BC is $17.40 per hour since 1 June 2024.​​​​
