What is the refund policy if I decide not to come to school?

ULI is accredited with PTIB and adheres to the refund policy set out by this government agency. You can view the policy on our policy & procedures page.
What are the program requirements for International Students to attend ULI?

The student must be 19 years of age or older, or out of high school for 12 months or longer

An English Language Assessment is required for all students whose mother tongue is not English
Failure to meet the Admissions requirement for each course or program cannot be waived by either the Institution or the student.

A minimum score of 6 on the Wonderlic Aptitude test is mandatory for local students

Do you arrange living accommodations?

We will help assist you in finding living arrangements that meet your needs should you require assistance.
What are the job opportunities if I take this program?

Job opportunities may vary depending on economic and/or individual factors. In most of our programs over 95% of ULI graduates are employed.
Is there a registration fee?

Yes. To reserve a seat in our programs we require a $275.00 deposit.
Is financial aid available?

Yes. Qualified applicants may be eligible for student loans or grants. In some cases, partial tuition may be paid by various employment services such as ESDC or Worksafe BC.
Individual circumstances vary. It is best to contact ULI and speak to a representative about options that may be available to you.
Why should I attend a Private College instead of a Public one?

At ULI, there are no waiting lists. We have intake every month so you can start right away.

ULI has smaller class sizes and students get more personal attention than they will in public colleges.

ULI also offers practicum and co-op work terms.
Is ULI Recognized?

Yes. ULI is accredited by PTIB and designated by IRCC and BC EQA. ULI is also recognized by professional associates, employers and other educational facilities.
Do you help your students secure employment?

ULI prepares you with real skills for working in the real world. ULI offers practicum and co-op work terms. Our slogan is ‘Get a job, Keep a job!’. ULI cannot guarantee you employment.
How many students will be in my class?

ULI offers small class sizes with a personal approach which allows for more contact between students and instructors.
Why is the tuition at a private post-secondary higher than that of public colleges?

Public colleges are funded with public money which supplements the cost of tuition.

Public colleges generally have wait lists and larger class sizes resulting in less personal attention to each student.

With no wait lists, this allows you to enter the workplace before you would even start classes at a public college.

You can earn a diploma at ULI in less than a year.
