Public Transit: Bus, SkyTrain, and Ferry

Metro Vancouver’s public transit system is operated by TransLink, providing reliable transportation through buses, SkyTrain, and SeaBus.

1. Buses

  • Extensive network covering all major areas.

  • Frequent service with real-time tracking available via the TransLink website or mobile apps.

  • Most buses run from early morning until late at night, with some 24-hour services.

2. SkyTrain

  • Metro Vancouver's rapid transit system with three lines:

    • Canada Line (Vancouver Downtown to Richmond and YVR Airport)

    • Expo Line (Vancouver Downtown to Surrey)

    • Millennium Line (Vancouver to Coquitlam)

  • Operates frequently from early morning to late night.

3. SeaBus

  • A passenger ferry connecting Waterfront Station (Downtown Vancouver) to Lonsdale Quay (North Vancouver).

  • Runs every 15 minutes during peak hours.

  • Modo (round-trip rentals, fuel included)

  • Zipcar (membership-based rental service)

If you need a ride, ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are available in Metro Vancouver. Simply download their apps, enter your destination, and request a ride.
